Senior Counsel

Erin Shea, Senior Counsel at Patrick Law Group, is a business minded attorney with extensive experience working with and advising business teams on a wide variety of issues and transactions. Having spent her career both in-house and at law firms, she has drafted and negotiated a broad range of commercial agreements, with a focus on technology contracts.

Erin is known for her deep experience in negotiating commercial transactions with a focus on technology transactions, including robotic process automation, artificial intelligence, SaaS, PaaS, professional services, outsourced business process and telecommunications provider agreements.

While General Counsel at Parkmobile, a leading provider of smart parking and mobility solutions, she not only negotiated a broad range of agreements, but also was an integral part of the incident response process and oversaw privacy and compliance initiatives.

As Senior Counsel for Information Technology at WestRock, a leading provider of packaging solutions, Erin worked in a fast paced environment acting as the sole attorney supporting WestRock’s global IT team.  She managed a high volume workload and worked closely with the IT security team to create and rollout IT security processes company-wide.

During her over 15 years at EarthLink, a provider of internet access, email and data security products, she provided support to nearly all internal teams – from IT Infrastructure to Marketing.  She negotiated countless agreements, supported product teams from product infancy to rollout, managed privacy and compliance initiatives and worked closely with the incident response team.

Over her 20+ year career, Erin has worked closely with a range of business leaders – from management to individual contributors – and builds strong relationships with her clients. She understands the pressure in-house lawyers face in providing timely and high quality support to demanding internal clients.

So often in life, things that you regard as an impediment turn out to be great, good fortune.
