Scope

This Privacy Notice (“Notice”) details how Patrick Law Group, LLC (“PLG”, “we”, or “us”) will collect, use, disclose and protect personal information (“Personal Information”) obtained from visitors to our website (the “Site”).  This Notice also describes the rights that you have with respect to such Personal Information.  

Any links found on the Site to websites maintained by anyone other than PLG are not governed by this Privacy Policy.  Should you have any questions regarding your use of Personal Information on those websites, we recommend that you view their respective privacy policies.

When you browse our Site, we collect Personal Information about you both directly from information you may submit and indirectly from your operating device and your activity.  The type and amount of information we collect depends on the manner in which you interact with the Site.  Depending on the type of interaction you have with the Site, we may collect some or all of the following:

Personal Identifiers:

If you submit information to the firm via our “Contact Us” page, we may collect your name, email address and whatever information you choose to include in your message.  If you communicate with us through the “LegalSifter” “Want to Learn more” web form on the Site, you may submit your name and email address and we will use that information to contact you with additional information about the LegalSifter technology.

If you choose to email the firm or any of our lawyers via the email addresses posted on the Site, we will collect your name, email address and any information included in your email message.  Additionally, if you conduct a “Search” on our Site via the search functionality provided, we will capture any information that you submit in order to fulfil your search request.  

Operating System Information

When you visit the Site and/or interact with it, we will collect information such as details about how you navigate the Site, your Internet protocol (IP) address, web pages viewed, date and time of visit, domain type, device event information such as crashes that occur, system activity, hardware, settings, browser type or version, browser language, referral URL and region or general location from which your computer or device is accessing the Internet.

Purpose for Collection

PLG collects the information listed above for various reasons including:

  • To respond to inquiries and requests you have;
  • To administer, maintain and improve the operation of our Site;
  • To detect, prevent, and investigate activities that may violate our policies, pose safety issues or be fraudulent or illegal, and;
  • For security purposes

Data Collection Through Cookies

In addition to the above, we use “cookies” to collect Personal Information. A cookie is a small data file that we transfer to your computer’s hard disk for record-keeping purposes.  

Specifically, PLG’s Site uses “first-party cookies”. These are cookies set and controlled by PLG and are used to: store the preferences of our Site visitors, to make our Site function properly, and to store the time of Site visits.

This website also uses Google Analytics.  Google Analytics places cookies on your computer that generate specific information about your use of the Service, including how many times a video is displayed on our Site and what settings are used for playback.  No sensitive data is collected.  The information will be used by PLG to evaluate consumer use of the Site and compile reports on Site activity. The information will be also transmitted to and stored by Google. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. How You Can Manage Cookies

The cookies used on our Site can be enabled or disabled through your browser. To disable cookies through your browser, follow the instructions usually located within the “Help,” “Tools” or “Edit” menus in your browser. Please note that disabling a cookie or category of cookies does not delete the cookie from your browser unless manually completed through your browser function.  Disabling cookies may impact your ability to use certain features of the Site.

  • restricting physical access to Personal Information
