As a member of the Board of Directors for Chastain Horse Park (“CHP”) Lizz Patrick is able to help underserved and vulnerable people.

Firm Founder and Chief Client Officer Lizz Patrick is passionate about volunteering her time to organizations that help underserved and vulnerable people. As a member of the Board of Directors for Chastain Horse Park (“CHP”) she’s able to do just that. Chastain Horse Park is a premier accredited PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) center located in Atlanta and a 501c3 non-profit since 1999.  On a daily basis, CHP makes a difference in the lives of riders of all ages and abilities through life-changing relationships with horses, including those who have been victims of sex trafficking. Through the healing power of interacting with horses, the survivors have another outlet to assist in their recovery journey.  For more information about Chastain Horse Park, please visit https://lnkd.in/dZHNz65d

Since 2019, Wellspring Living (a nonprofit that has helped survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation for over 20 years) has been bringing women to CHP where they learn to take back the reins of their lives. Although the participants are accustomed to having little control over many aspects of their life, while learning to control a thousand-pound horse they also learn how to regain their own control and also begin to learn how to trust again.

Financial support for this therapy comes from donors that include the BOEHRINGER INGELHEIM CARES FOUNDATION INC. The foundation is the independent U.S. philanthropic arm of Boehringer Ingelheim. They recently released this video highlighting the partnership of CHP and Wellspring and the amazing impact it has had on the lives of their participants. Warning…this video is guaranteed to melt your heart.  https://lnkd.in/dykUKUm7
